Shiloh . . . School of the prophets - what are you going to learn?

Much of what we do as young children is learned behaviour. We observe those in the world about us and replicate what we see. Its a time of learning and decision, choices and consequences.

Prophetic folks get all excited about the idea of Shiloh - school of the prophets.

The problem is, there really is not a huge amount of evidence to support the idea of having a school of the prophets today. The incident refered to by Elisha is the only incident recorded in perhaps 2,000 years of OT history and the Hebrew is ambiguous in that it could refer to it as community more than School.

Will you really only ever do the things that God wants you to do if you get some training? This raises some very important issues about the individual and their walk with God. God's call on the individual becomes subject to their training! And if you can't afford the training then you miss your destiny?

You don't need to know how to press into another level in God - He already knows how to reveal Himself in such a manner that you will clearly know. It's about your personal, devoted, diciplined and consistant walk with God. Being friends with God.

It sounds cynical, but some folks are making a great deal of money out of marketing the need for you to attend a School of the prophets! Having said all that, my guess is that you simply have a heart to learn more about the prophetic ministry, and it is that desire that we will make an attempt to address here, over the coming days.

As we study the scriptures there are many accounts where we have the opportunity to gaze into the lives of the prophets and make our own joyous discoveries. This will take a while as we start publishing the articles - do bookmark us and visit again soon.
