Welcome

A Scripture-honouring approach to the prophetic ministry in the Church today.

1 Corinthians 14:1

Pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy. (ESV)

Follow the way of love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy. (NIV)

Prophetic Reformation / about

Prophets & prophecy, visions, dreams and angels – for prophets of all ages and backgrounds it’s the raw dynamic of the prophetic ministry, and for many in the Church it is an issue full of intrigue, excitement and challenge.

If you are a Christian reading this website you probably have many questions. Those questions may fall between ‘how to increase your ability to hear God in the prophetic gifts or ministry’ to issues of character, administration or function. This website assumes that the reader believes that the gifts of the Spirit and the ministry of the prophetic are for today.

There is an unscriptural teaching that these things ceased with the close of the New Testament, but that is clearly not something taught by Scripture. With these things in mind we are attempting to bring some credible answers, and as always, the starting point is the Bible.

One thing that is very clear to most when it comes to the the dynamics of prophetic ministry, is the need for some kind of reform – drawing and bringing much of the so called ‘prophetic movement’ back to real and authentic biblical practices.

The prophetic message
is dominantly a
mix of encouragement
and exhortation.

The days of
angry,
rejected,
legalistic
prophets are over!

We've revised the website, removed much of the material that was controversial for the sake of controversy and feel that there is a real sense of purpose, direction, faith and grace in what you see before you.

There is purposely much to think about, and every page has been written to provoke your thinking and cause you to consider the way that you minister prophetically, or the way that others minister in your church (or even to ask why they don't!). We're doing so, not with a negative criticism, or intention -  but with a view to getting the very best from the remarkable gift that God has placed in the Church. The prophetic ministry can very well be at the heart of the very issues that God is raising in the life of your Church to bless and encourage it!

Blog

As an additional resource we have a blog where you can engage with us - letting you read, think and discuss what we are saying! Prophetic ministry is astonishingly precious for the Church. Some churches and individuals sadly find it hard to once again trust prophetic ministry, others wonder if such an authentic ministry exists anymore because of what they have encountered and experienced in the past or seen on Christian television networks.

We are bringing an urgent plea that God really does speak through authentic prophetic ministry, and is speaking in this day - despite our pain and past suspicion of the form and method of such communications in the past.

Our overwhelming conviction is that God wants the entire Church to enter into the phenomenal encouragement and benefits that prophetic ministry and gifting can bring.

Like all things birthed in the Spirit, the prophetic ministry requires faith, courage, integrity and sensitivity to the leading of the Spirit.

That significant journey starts here.
